The rave community push back on the negative mainstream media narrative around their festivals.
As Australia moves back into an environment without COVID restrictions, hard-style raves are selling out nationwide. While mainstream news media warn of high risks at festivals, the rave community has a message: It’s not just about the drugs, it’s about the music, dance and community.
'The whole point of the rave community is not to make you stress, it's to make you feel free. It's to make you feel liberated when you're dancing. It's supposed to make you feel welcomed and within a community you can call a family.'
